공무원 정근수당 Civil servants’ regular attendance allowance

Civil servants are paid a differential wage according to the number of years of service. All public servants with more than one year of service are paid regular attendance allowances in January and July of each year, and the amount of regular attendance allowance varies from 0% to 50% of the monthly salary depending on the number of years of service.

Rules and Requirements for Paying Regular Attendance Allowance
– If a disciplinary action is taken during the period for which regular wages are paid, they will not be paid. In addition, during the disposition of dismissal from position, payment is made only for the actual service period.

 

– In the case of those on leave of absence and new hires, if they worked during the payment period, they are calculated and paid.

 

■ January payment requirements
In order to receive the regular attendance allowance in January, among those who hold the status of public servants as of January 1st and receive the salary, the salary is paid for at least one month during the period from July 1st to December 31st of the previous year, which is the period subject to payment. Must be a civil servant.

■ Payment requirements for July
In order to receive the regular attendance allowance in July, among those who hold the status of public servants as of July 1st and receive the salary, those who receive the salary for one month or more during the period from January 1st to June 30th of the year concerned are eligible for payment. Must be a paid public official.

 

Additional dues for regular attendance allowance
Public officials who receive punctuality allowances are paid a pre-determined surcharge for punctuality on the pay day of each month according to the number of years of service (see table below).

※ Civil servants, excluding military personnel, must have served for at least 5 years to receive an additional payment for regular attendance.
