First of all, you can check the international mail (ems) rate table at the post office on the Internet.

The link will be provided at the bottom of the post.

What is EMS?

International express mail means EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE.
Express, express mail faster than regular international parcels.

View Post Office EMS Rate Table
If you go to the international postal rate table page of the Internet Post Office, you will find the EMS rate table, premium rate table, and international parcel rate table as shown below.

Among these, you can check the EMS rate table, select document/non-documented and check the rate.

Please note that the rates in the table below will be added with additional fees to determine the final amount.

You can see the amount corresponding to the weight (kg) on the left for each country. The weight starts from 0.5kg and is given in increments of 0.25kg.

The countries listed in the rate table are the following 20 countries. Other than that, you need to check the countries in Area 1, Area 2, etc.

Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA, Vietnam

On a non-document basis, the cheapest ones are from 17,500 won to 32,500 won.

It is said that this price is when it is less than 0.5kg.

I plan to send it to Japan, and in Japan, it is 23,500 won if it weighs less than 0.5 kg. Even sending a light snack is 23,500 won.

Of course, the price on the tariff and the amount you actually get when you go to the post office and send EMS may be different. It is intended to be used as a reference for the estimated amount.

Try Post Office EMS Rate Calculator
To use the EMS rate calculator, select <International Parcel Rate Table> and then select <Fare Calculator> on the right.

From here, select the postal type, EMS, EMS premium, international parcel, international trade, etc., enter documents/non-documents, destination country name, number and weight, and click <Calculate Rate> to view the estimated postage rate.

As shown below, the inquiry result came out. In Japan, the EMS fee was found to be 35,400 won when the weight was 2 kg.

A special shipping fee of 2,400 won was charged on the postage of 33,000 won.

Again, the inquiry service is for reference only.

For international express, 4,500 won is added to the EMS fee. Areas that are available for ultra-express EMS include Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Wrap-up
We checked the estimated EMS amount for each country through the EMS rate table of the post office and learned how to use the postage inquiry calculator.

You can think of it as starting from at least 2,000 won.

It is an ironic service that the EMS fee is higher than the price of the product, but it has the advantage of going quickly.
